King of all he surveys
We *so* have to get Tom out of the hospital.  He's got dedicated staff to play with him, free rein with the VCR, cool new toys, lots of treats, and he's been rearranging the furniture, a sure sign he feels at home.

He's going into the crisis placement "Thursday or Friday."  Ummm, guys, G took Thursday off specifically so he could help with this, it would be nice if it really was Thursday . . .

I expect he'll go back to school Monday.

His social worker knows of four young autistic men right now, including Tom, who are in need of placement; she is trying to get a group home organized for them, so that staff can focus on autistic-type issues and behavior management strategies.  I hope it works out.  At his old house there's one guy like Tom, and two who are very different from him and each other; it must make it hard for the staff to find a direction with it.

Here's hoping . . .
